Based on guidance from our local officials and the A&M Association of Former Students, our Club leadership has made the difficult but prudent choice to postpone our 2020 Muster originally scheduled for April 26th. Due to the uncertainty facing our nation, we will re-schedule our Muster at a time when we believe we can safely come together in one of our most heartfelt traditions.
Our Scholarship Committee will still conduct their review of applications and make a decision about recipients prior to the end of April.
We also wanted to pass along this message from the AFS:Please be assured that the name of every Aggie whose death was reported since the last Muster, including those on your local roll, will be called and answered with “Here” on April 21. Since 2018, the Association of Former Students has organized a live reading each April of the entire year’s roll, more than 1,600 names broadcast and live-streamed from the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. Plans are in motion to ensure that the live Worldwide Roll Call takes place again this year, so we assure you that every name will be called on campus again this year.
If you have any questions about our Muster plans, feel free to reach out to either of us.Please continue to exercise discretion and follow the guidance we are receiving from the CDC and our local officials to best protect yourselves and your loved ones.
Thanks, and Gig ’em
